Help With Unlocking Runes - Guild Wars Forums

Hi, I'm trying to make a PvP Mesmer and I decided to use both Sup Dom and Sup Insp runes for him. When I went to make a character, they were both greyed out so I assumed I needed to unlock them. However, when I go to the Priest, the only Sup Mesmer rune that is listed is Sup Fast Casting. I've never had a problem like this before, and I'd greatly appreciate any help.

You need to unlock runes in order of advancement. This means to unlock a Major Rune you'd have had to unlocked the Minor Rune first. Thusly for a Superior Rune you'll need to have unlocked firstly the Minor Rune and then secondly the Major Rune.

So if you can't see Superior Domination or Inspiration Runes, it means you have not unlocked the runes before them (ie Minor and /or Major). To unlock those Runes you will first have to unlock both the Minor and then Major Domination and Inspiration Runes. Once you have done this you'll be able to unlock the Superior runes of Domination and Inspiration.

Related question, if you unlock a superior rune, is the corresponding major/minor rune unlocked as well?
